  • Overview

    Summary: Responsible for the overall management and operation of the fabrication processes conducted at this facility and all of the employees working within the department.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Any one position may not include all of the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions within this classification.


    • Ensure the facility is a safe working environment and that the employees work safely to achieve products goals.
    • Monitor production processes on the shop floor daily to ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner.
    • Work with all departments in order to resolve any issues that may impact production deadlines.
    • Work with all supervisors in the facility to resolve employees issues or concerns.
    • Communicate with all UE Manufacturing locations on multiple location build projects in order to complete.
    • Create spreadsheets to review job progression including parts and labor issues.
    • Manage building maintenance issues in order to resolve problems as they arise.
    • Managements of miscellaneous issue at this facility as they arise.
    • Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
    • Ensure proper safety training, regular meetings and resources are provided to personnel to support adherence to health and safety procedures.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Management Responsibilities


    • Manage all staff in the department at UE Manufacturing
    • Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
    • Planning, assigning, and directing work.
    • Appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees.
    • Addressing complaints and resolving problems.      



    Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     • Prefer candidates with a BA/BS in Business or related degree; or four to ten years related experience and/or training in oilfield servicing equipment industry or related industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
    • A minimum of 3 (three) years of supervision/management experience is required.
    • Knowledge of welding, fabrication, sand blasting, painting, mechanical assembly and warehouse procedures is preferred.
    • Lean Manufacturing training is a plus.

    • Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
    • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
    • Work in air conditioned office, outside and workshop.
    • Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.
    • Requires occasional bending, stooping, lifting and carrying.
    • Reaching or handling with arms, hands and fingers.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers (i.e. frequent typing)
    • Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
