    Position Description

    Prepares and analyzes daily and weekly production schedules, customer orders, and shipping and receiving records to ensure finished product inventory meets customer demands.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Job Responsibilities

    • Analyze and adjust production schedules and shipment plans to meet customer needs; generally focused on a current to 4-6 week production horizon.
    • Review Oracle production scheduling messages and make appropriate updates
    • Use Oracle and other relevant software to solve critical delivery schedule problems
    • Check and allocate stock availability and determine best course of action for releasing work orders
    • Analyze and update Oracle material master settings
    • Review WIP value summary and complete all Level 1 jobs.
    • Create, release, maintain, review and expedite work orders
    • Provide backup to Master Planner
    • Facilitate BOM level 2 shortage meeting
    • Coordinate external service priorities with buyers
    • Prepare various weekly and month metrics reports
    • Develop and organize scheduling transition from current manual systems to all Oracle based solutions
    • Other duties and responsibilities as needed

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or related planning and/or purchasing experience
    • APICS Certification preferred

    Experience:

    • 2 plus years of planning and/or purchasing experience

    Knowledge/Skills:

    • Working knowledge and experience using Oracle, SAP, etc.
    • Excellent customer service, project management, problem solving and trouble shooting skills
    • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Basic PC skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
    • Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks and coordinate complex activities
