  • Overview

    Summary: Responsible for the purchasing, expediting and tracking of all parts necessary for current jobs being manufactured.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Any one position may not include all of the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions within this classification.


    • Ensure UEM is receiving the best pricing and delivery dates available for each part
    • Remain informed of the parts status for each job assigned on the build schedule
    • Attend daily production meetings and provide answers to procurement related questions
    • Keep a detailed log of all issues pertaining to procurement that would affect production of units
    • Follow up with buyers to expedite product needed for production and follow through with requests
    • Supply a daily parts status report for each project to the buyers and procurement manager after each daily production meeting
    • Update scheduling on any issues within procurement that will affect production with urgency and accuracy
    • Follow up on all open PO’s daily in order to maintain status of all parts ordered
    • Confirm all ordered parts are delivered no less than 10 days prior to the build start date
    • Work all vendor invoices daily to ensure prompt payment is made to vendor
    • Work all requisitions daily to ensure purchase orders are issued in a timely manner
    • Work overtime including evenings and weekends as needed
    • Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture
    • All other duties as assigned

    • High school diploma/general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.          
    • Prefer candidates with a working knowledge of basic inventory, warehousing and stocking procedures
    • Must be able to meet required deadlines and manage time effectively.
