  • Overview

    Summary: This position is responsible for providing support to assembly areas to ensure timely distribution and organization of parts to the units currently in progress on the shop floor.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Any one position may not include all of the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions within this classification.


    • This position will be responsible for supporting assembly stalls to ensure required parts are identified and delivered to the units on the floor. Also confirming parts are being properly charged to the respective job in Oracle.
    • Ensure parts presentation boards are properly loaded and stored in appropriate areas when not in use.
    • Work closely with planning to identify any material issues and ensure they are immediately corrected.
    • May be involved / assist the receiving and shipping associates in verifying and accepting parts.
    • May assist Receiving Lead in the organization of parts as the shipments arrive from outside vendors.
    • Direct and lead forklift drivers for the distribution of parts.
    • Will work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor on any parts issues that occur.
    • Will communicate any issues with inventory, including discrepancies, to the Warehouse Supervisor and Buyers, if needed.
    • Work closely with the Receiving team to ensure that all expedited parts are taken to the appropriate unit in assembly.

    •  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    •  Experience in warehouse and inventory operations is preferred.
    •  Knowledge of basic inventory, warehousing and stocking procedures is preferred.

    •  Ability to frequently lift up to 40 lbs. Able to lift 65 lbs from floor to shoulder level occasionally as a team lift.
    •  Ability to frequently exert the pound force limits for push/pull 50lb f (no wheels) or 100lb f (wheels).
    •  Requires frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting, carrying, and reaching or handling with arms, hands and fingers. 
    •  Requires crawling and working in narrow spaces.
    •  Requires frequent repetitive movements, i.e. hammering, turning wrenches, screwdrivers and impact tools.
    •  Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers.
    •  Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
    •  Exposed to cold, heat, noise mechanical/electrical fume or odor.
    •  Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.
    •  Will be required to work at a minimum height of four feet off of the ground.
    •  Ability to operate overhead cranes, mobile equipment and motor vehicles as required.
