  • Overview

    Summary: Responsible for covering the planning, scheduling, releasing, and tracking of workflow through the

    Manufacturing Department.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Any one position may not include all of the listed duties, nor do all of the listed examples include all tasks which may be found in positions within this classification.

    • Production-planning supervision, scheduling for production, preparing production schedules for manufacturing of products.
    • Making sure each operation meets shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
    • Planning and scheduling workflow for each department and operation according to previously established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
    • Planning sequence of assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
    • Determining the status of assigned projects, expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
    • Preparing production reports.
    • May also prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment.
    • Plans the process for manufacture, fabrication, assembly, installation of parts, components, assemblies, etc.
    • Prepares defined work packages, including detailed instructions, drawings, bills of material, references, inspection requirements, etc., to initiate and control production work.
    • Monitors, analyzes and reports performance to schedule of production & production support activities, utilizing information derived from material and production control systems.
    • Ensures all parties are fully aware of production status and that work planning and execution objectives are integrated and communicated.
    • Coordinates and expedites the placement of purchase orders and/or delivery of material.
    • Schedules, expedites, and coordinates the delivery and movement of critical material.
    • Maintain a strong, personal commitment to the safety culture.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operation Research ore related degree is preferred. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
    • A minimum of 1 (one) year of experience in managing manufacturing processes, productivity, and efficiency measurements.
    • Must be able to meet required deadlines and manage time effectively.

    • Ability to lift up to 25lbs.
    • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
    • Work in air conditioned office, outside and workshop.
    • Will be required on occasion to work more than 8 hours on one shift.
    • Requires occasional bending, stooping, lifting and carrying.
    • Reaching or handling with arms, hands and fingers.
    • Manual dexterity sufficient to work with fingers (i.e. frequent typing)
    • Normal vision with or without corrective lenses.
